How it works
Where the data comes from
Every UK public cleaning contract published on Find a Tender and Contracts Finder since 2020: councils, schools and academy trusts, NHS bodies, universities and housing associations. We record each contract's end date, extension options, value and the supplier named at award.
How we estimate the tender date
Buyers usually go back to market some months before a contract ends. Councils and NHS trusts tend to start 6 to 12 months ahead, and schools and academy trusts 4 to 9. We show the likely window for each contract, and we list live tenders separately with their closing dates.
What arrives each week
One email covering the regions you choose. Live tenders come first, then contracts whose tender window is opening, then the rest of the next 18 months. Each line links to its official notice. See an example briefing.
Values are as published for the whole term. Tender windows are estimates; buyers can extend contracts or re-tender early.

Questions
Where does the information come from?
The UK government's procurement records on Find a Tender and Contracts Finder, published under the Open Government Licence. Every contract links to its official notice so you can check it.
How is this different from tender alerts?
Alerts tell you when a tender is published, which usually leaves 30 to 40 days to respond. We also show contracts approaching renewal before that point, so there's time to visit sites, cost TUPE and speak to the buyer.
How accurate are the tender dates?
End dates and values are as published. The likely tender window is our estimate from the end date and typical lead times for that type of buyer, which is why we show a range rather than a single date.
Is it worth it for a small firm?
Most of our data is school, council and housing contracts worth tens of thousands of pounds a year, which suits small and mid-sized firms. If the first month isn't useful, you get your money back.
How do I cancel?
Reply to any briefing or email us. You'll keep receiving briefings until the end of the month you've paid for.
Who runs TenderAhead?
A small independent research service registered in Australia (ABN 27 374 041 336). We're not connected to any buyer or government body. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within one working day.
